I'm a writer, editor, and college instructor. I work as a marketing writer with Harding Marketing, an agency in San Jose. I also teach journalism at San Francisco State, City College of San Francisco, and Skyline College.
In previous incarnations, I was an infant, a kid, a teenager with lots of pimples and lots of hair, a UC-Berkeley college student, a sportswriter with the defunct Berkeley Gazette/Richmond Independent, a sportswriter and columnist with the Oakland Tribune, a book and magazine editor, and unbeknownst to Al Gore, I helped invent the Internet as the first online editor for SF Gate in 1995. I also helped launch another Bay Area website, BayInsider, and before moving over to the marketing side of life, I was executive editor at Wired News.
